140-15 Mururata
- Bolivia. [October 18:01] We had a picnic with a group of friends at Palca
(a place between the Illimani and Mururata mountains). Around the 4PM, we
decided to take a dirt road that goes to an old mine on the edge of the
Mururata glacier. I used my Toyota car, which practically escalated the
rocky path, as if it would be climbing the steps of a ladder until we reached
the end of the road. I believe that we were at 4900 meters (16,076 feet).
I started trekking with my son; of course I had to carry him on my arms
most of the time, including the equipment and tripod. In this photograph,
I'm underneath the edge of the glacier. |
