180-05 La Cumbre
- Bolivia. [September 15:54] After lunch, I decided to take my children
(3 and 5 years old) for a ride. At about 3:30PM we arrived to "La Cumbre",
which is the highest part of the road between La Paz and the Yungas (approx
4700 meters, 15,420 feet). The children wanted to play with snow, we left
the road and walked to a place where you could see patches of snow and I
found frozen water dripping on a slope. While it shouted them not to move
far away from me, I managed to mount the tripod and hoped that the wind
would lower its speed, I only managed to take 10 photographs, this is the
one that I like most, a sister photograph was exhibited during September
2004 in a Houston gallery. |
