When my Grandmother was in her mid-70s in the late ’60s, she liked to think she was quite hip and up-to-date, and "mod" became her favorite adjective for things pertaining to current culture. Whenever I look at this image I can imagine her saying, "Oh, what a mod couple they are!" I made this image just off Picadilly Circus, which, if not Carnaby Street, was close to the epicenter of "mod."
