| This is my mother in her twilight years, suffering from emphysema. She had treatments on a respirator several times a day and relied on oxygen to live. My mother is photographed in my brother’s house in Clouquet, Minnesota, in the same room where she died in my arms two years later. The guests and family attending her 80th birthday celebration are outside on a hot July day. |
