Transcendental Frames Overview
Gallery

Cibachrome self portrait that I made for Icebox's exhibit; Me, Myself & Eye. Not only is the frame a functional device to contain and protect a fragile artwork in my self portrait it had personal meaning to me since framing is something I do on a regular basis. This was a way of admitting the importance of the frame in my life. The frame within the artwork is ornate the functioning frame is almost invisible in comparison. The reason my face is negative is it is from the inside of my body looking out. Think of it as the back of a mask that you are about to put on.
